Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
IaaS provides the base components of a fully outsourced infrastructure solution. Sold standalone as a utility or combined with design, migration and maintenance services.
Rather than buying servers, software licenses, network equipment and data centre space, these components come ready-to-use:
- virtual servers
- physical servers
- managed co-location
- utility disk
Virtual

OTW provides virtual machines (VMs) on a utility basis: we charge for disk, memory and CPU usage per month. We can give you access to the management portal to build and maintain your own VMs, or we can build them for you.
VMs are protected against host, network and SAN failure with automatic failover and redundancy built into the underlying host clusters and their supporting equipment.
Physical

Some workloads are better suited to running on dedicated hardware rather than VMs. OTW’s managed servers are based on handpicked hardware, with round-the-clock monitoring and spares always available on site. Every server comes standard with virtual console access and remote reboot.
Managed Co-location

Co-location allows you to house appliances, legacy servers and specialist network equipment in the OTW data centre. You can do this in conjunction with other IaaS components or data networks on a per-device basis. Out-of-band access is supplied to devices using either a console server or the on-board IPMI card.
Managed network, firewall and load balancer

You expect secure and highly available connections. We provide a number of networking solutions, from a direct Internet connection to a complex configuration of load balancers, firewalls and data networks.
